The Mainland, out of Yuba City California, formed in early 2008 and started writing their debut album, "Last Call EP". Formally known Austin At Best, The Mainland is made up with front man Josh Brooks playing guitar and piano, lead guitarist Derek Wenz,acoustic guitarist Jake Abbott, Bassist Dana Packard and Drummer Kristen Costa. The Mainland is an alternative rock band with influences ranging from The Beatles to The Fray. Their debut album "Last Call EP" will be available in January and The Mainland is currently booking shows in Northern and Southern California and planning to head out on tour sometime in early spring of 2009 so be sure to catch them on the road!
